So it’s a National Whiner’s Holiday!!!!!   Why you ask?  Because it’s our very own Sherri (we call her media Momma) Erwin’s BIRTHDAY!   So sit back and enjoy the party with cyber chocolate, wine, and of course BIRTHDAY CAKE!   Happy happy Birthday Sherri!!!

What’s your favorite kind of birthday cake?  (And do you crave sweet things after watching Cupcake Wars?)  And do you wonder how Madonna got those cones on in the first place.  And what happens when Lady Gaga has a wardrobe malfunction? And heck–how would we know?  Who is your favorite eye

candy of the moment?  And which debate did you watch: a) Obama vs Romney b) Jon Stewart vs Bill O’Reilly  or c) Live–it’s Saturday Night?

Happy birthday, Sherri! Hope you have a fabulous day!
We usually do angel food cake for birthdays–but really, I’ve never met a cake I didn’t like, LOL!

My mom is the angel cake fan in our family. Her birthday favorite is angel food cake with a strawberry filling and whipped cream.

Oh, I watched the debate and part of SNL. Missed the JS versus BOR.

Same here, VB! The debate was on right after Survivor, how could we miss? :) Also, the commercials make me think someone from Skupin’s tribe is going, and it might be RC. Or they’re leading us on again.

I missed both the funny ones… but did see the pre-debate SNL special.

HAPPY NAKIE DAY SHERRI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favourite birthday cake is anything that does not have fondant. I love half vanilla half chocolate cake with buttercream icing. And I love love love red velvet cake, chocolate cake, carrot cake and black forest cake.
Madonna has very small bippies so it was not hard to wear the cones. Laday Gaga and her clothing IS a wardrobe malfunction.
There was no debate here. I have actually already voted. It was a hard choice between Roseanne Barr (yes she is really on the Florida ballot) or putting Harry Potter in the write in because as we all know he cannot tell a lie. Ok seriously. I did vote. And it was for _______________

Oh my goodness I forgot my eye candy
My vote for today’s eye candy is for Antonio Banderos in Zorro. Since most hot hunks today are already posted drooled over or just plain too young, I choose to go back to past eye candy. Or how about ‘Jake’ from 16 Candles. Val Kilmer in Willow. Or for ultimate in cheesiest eye candy, Tom Cruise in Legend.

Good choices, Ti. The current crop of “hotties” doesn’t do it for me. Like you, I’m still drooling over past hunks.

Oh no Tom Cruise, nooo. Though, Legend was a pretty great movie. I think Jake makes furniture in PA now. I don’t mind some Ryan Reynolds or Ryan Gosling, but I always feel too old for both, especially Ryan since I remember him in the Mickey Mouse Club. Eric Bana, though? Yeah, that’s good eye candy.

Did Jake from 16 candles ever do anything else? Thought the guy in Hunger Games was cute (the first guy not the other one).

No Dee. I believe Sherri is right, he makes furniture somewhere now.
I am not a Tom Cruise fan BUT I do happen to like the whole ‘Legend’ concept.
Like Capt Jack Sparrow. Ok he probably would smell and be drunk and his teeth are less than desirable but meOw he is yummy. Johnny Depp is divine but some of his characters I could strip search using just my tongue.
Ooops was that too far?

Ti, too far for some maybe but we let you get away with it. :) The Hunger Games guy you mean is Liam Hemsworth, brother of the guy who is Thor, Chris Hemsworth. They’re Aussies. Liam is engaged to Miley Cyrus.

Ah … well I liked him. Hope that bodes well for his character in the series… no spoilers!!

Michael Schoeffling. Looked him up. He was in 9 movies after 16 Candles including Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, Mermaids, Slaves of New York, and Vision Quest. His career spanned from 1984 to 1991. Then I guess he left Hollywood for PA and furniture-making.

I put in my request for a lemon cake today. Not my usual choice, but they have one at our favorite bakery that looks amazing. My favorite birthday cake is the cherry chip cake with fluffy marshmallow-like frosting that my mom used to make me for every birthday. It was pink and fluffy! J’adore.

I crave sweet things all too often, but cake/cupcakes are my biggest crave of all. My favorite eye candy (right now) is maybe Philip Seymour Hoffman because I get the sense he would relax, eat cake with me, and not make me work it off later– hahaha.

Well there is something to the latter! My fav is angel food cake with vanilla glaze – what my mom always made for me! but always up for trying a new cake. Although some of the flavors at Cupcake Wars are definitely not on my list!
