I, ah, was planning on writing my blog this morning before I raced out the door for an exciting day of blood tests and errands.
But I overslept and must now write this, rouse kids, get dressed and get to CPL in approximately 2.7 minutes.
So that means…drumroll…I’m putting the onus on you! Yes, YOU!
Today we’ll play, “Because Julie’s running late, you guys get to run the show by sharing your favorite YouTube video or other internet time waster!”
I’ll start: My all time favorite You Tube vid is the clip of Louis C.K. talking about technology with Conan O’Brian. For some reason, it just amuses the heck out of me.
Of course, the sneezing panda runs a close second (that one’s not embeddable in this post, so you have to follow the link).
As for the most amusing sites, this one is way, way, way too addictive. I warn you, you can lose a day reading through pages of screenshots. It’s Damn You, Autocorrect, and it’s hysterical (and definitely not rated G)!

I blame Sherri! Now my hubby has added trip Advisor map to his Facebook and has become addicted to adding all the cities he has ever visited (and countries).
I am also addicted to searching Yahoo groups Freecycle, realcycle, and freegle in my local area and see what people are giving away. Basically if you are not new to them, say you bought a whole new bedroom suite. Nothing wrong with the old one it is just no longer needed. You don’t want to just throw it away and you don’t want to bother with ebay, so you place an add on freecycle. You get to choose from the most polite recipient and they come collect your stuff. When I first moved here, my husband and I started from scratch with EVERYTHING. We got bookcases, couches, dishes, pots, lamps, desk, laptop computer, and even my mountain bike came from freecycle. FREE! (The bike was a gift from a bf never used and she caught him cheating so she had tossed all his stuff out to the curb and was giving away all the things he had bought her for free). Oh and I also put my daughters clothes and toys on there. They go very quick. They are local to everyone btw, it is an international community.
Ok. Back to adding more cities to my Trip Advisor. I will never beat my hubby but I bet I will beat a lot of my family. !!!!
Ti, I have no idea how I even ended up with that. I started adding stuff and then said, what am I doing? And stopped. Had no idea I was trendy. And now I wonder if I have to go back and add to keep up with the Colluneys.

Oh also on wasting time online- a while ago, I ended up watching foreign versions of America’s Next Top Model on YouTube. Australia seems to have the best top model candidates but now they don’t allow them on YouTube. I miss designer Alex Perry telling the girls to look “expensive.”
DYAC kept me in giggles for a solid hour. I had to force myself to get off of the site and get back to work.
I love the funny/cute animal videos. I love the little “scaredy-cat” kitten and also the Sylvester the Talking Cat series. And I still laugh at the Matt Damon/Sarah Silverman video. I think Matt Damon is The Man!
He shares my birthday (but he’s two years younger). I can’t help but love him.
