This is it. The end of two weeks of total immersion into the world of winter sports. A time when Americans collectively gathered around their TV’s (and computers and smart phones) to watch the best of the

best compete for quite honestly the worlds weirdest looking gold medal. And today after the final buzzer in the US vs Canada hockey game, we’ll all head figuratively to the final ceremonies and then back to our regularly scheduled lives. So for one last moment let’s raise the flag for our Olympians.

Okay so cue Bulgler’s Dream and share your favorite 2010 Olympic moment.

I loved all the events, but my favorite is ice skating. I think watching Evan Lysacek beat that whiney baby Plushenko was my favorite.
Loved it all–so sorry it’s over. Love, love, love Apollo, but I think my favorite moment was watching Shaun White and the men’s half pipe. So incredible. Can’t imagine being able to do that. HOW do they do that?
What the heck are we going to watch now???
Well, for me — all the stuff I DVR’d while watching the Olympics. So there’s actually a backlog. 24′s, Survivors and Lost.
Loved it! Loved it all! Except for the loss of the luge competitor in the first few days- wow, what a sad, awful shock. But so many highlights. Watching Evan Lysacek get the gold. Watching Joannie Rochette skate after losing her mom. The ice dancing, surprisingly enjoyable. Watching Apolo Ohno any time. The moguls. Last night’s bobsled win. The curling. Yes, even the curling (though I’ve had enough of that for a while).
And the snowboard cross — very cool
Oh yeah. And the ski-jumping, and downhill events. I’m even enjoying hockey right now. That’s really unusual for me.
And we were so close to winning!
