Hmmm. Designated space in the kitchen. In my kitchen that would mean I could have exactly one guest......

Seriously, though, this sounds like so much fun!

COOOOOOOOOOKIES! I haven't yet had time to bake Christmas cookies, but this weekend! Oh, this weekend I'll have time to bake & to sew & to read & to snuggle up with my cat on the couch.

I would love to attend a cookie decorating party, but so far I've only ever been invited to cookie eating parties. These are fun, too. :)

That is so totally cool! I'm fascinated with gingerbread houses, but totally inept when it comes to making them. Doing it with friends -- and a little wine could be fabulous!

I went to a cookie exchange for years when I lived in Austin. Wasn't quite the same as the cookies were already made, but we did go home with a box full of different kinds of cookies and best of all a wonderful recipe book each year with the cookies people brought. It was so much fun and now I'm missing it! Hello out there Terri!

Oh, Jacquie, that sounds like a blast! I do foresee a major problem, however. There is no way that I would return home with more than 3 cookies in my tin. The rest would be in my belly!

No parties for me this year. Just lots of time with family and friends. I prefer it that way.

I actually did this a few years ago with a couple families we're friends with. I had all the cookies already baked before they came over, though, and just supplied everything for the decorating. We all sat around the dining room table and decorated. It was a lot of fun and my daughter and her friends had a blast.

I used to attend Gingerbread House making parties. Each person would bake their own gingerbread and cut out the house panels needed. On the day of the party you took your gingerbread to the Gingerbread Lady's house. She provided the glue (Royal Icing) and the candies for decorations. She would walk you through the process and help you build your house. She had 2 or 3 dozen different types of Christmas candies and pretzels with which to decorate. She also made pine trees for the outside using sugar cones and green royal icing. It was a lot of fun and you went home with a gingerbread house of your very own.

I heard of someone having a Holiday Sweater party. You have to wear a cheesy or fun (or pretty) holiday sweater. LOL! I love that. I've also heard of cookie-swap parties, where everyone brings quantities of one kind of holiday cookie and everyone samples. I do not get invited to any of these fun parties. My neighbors must think me a Grinch. Or they're all celebrating Chanukah.

Today's Tiger Watch says no one has heard from him in a few days. Moving vans are out his house. His boat and plane have been moved around. His wife has been photographed in FL with the kids and no wedding ring. And gossips say she has purchased a 2.5 million dollar house in Sweden. Sounds like she might be dumping him.
